"en": "Data description: AVID includes speech and EGG produced by 50 speakers (25 males, 25 females) who varied their vocal intensity in four categories (soft, normal, loud, and very loud). Recordings were conducted using a constant mouth-to-microphone distance and by recording a calibration tone. The speech data was labeled sentence-wise using a total of 19 labels that support the utilisation of the data in ML-based studies of vocal intensity based on supervised learning. "en": "The dataset includes understory spectral reflectance factors at wavelengths of 350–2500 nm, fractional cover data of understory, forest inventory data, and data on the light availability at forest floor (diffuse non-interceptance, DIFN) and tree canopy structure (effective plant area index, PAIe) in hemiboreal and temperate forests in Europe. The data were collected near peak growing seasons 2019–2020 in situ in total of 31 forest stands in a hemiboreal study site in Estonia (13 stands: 58°17’N, 27°19’E), and temperate mountain (8 stands: 49°30′N, 18°32′E) and floodplain (10 stands: 48°41′N, 16°57′E) sites in the Czech Republic.\r\n\r\nThe first spread sheet contains descriptions of the variables, second spread sheet the stand characteristics, and third the spectral data.\r\n\r\nWe thank Daniel Schraik, Bijay Karki, Titta Majasalmi, Petr Lukeš, Lucie Homolová, Mait Lang, Jan Pisek, Mihkel Kaha, and Lauri Korhonen for collaboration. "en": "Abstract Background DNA methylation plays an important role in studying the epigenetics of various biological processes including many diseases. Although differential methylation of individual cytosines can be informative, given that methylation of neighboring CpGs are typically correlated, analysis of differentially methylated regions is often of more interest. Results We have developed a probabilistic method and software, LuxHMM, that uses hidden Markov model (HMM) to segment the genome into regions and a Bayesian regression model, which allows handling of multiple covariates, to infer differential methylation of regions. Moreover, our model includes experimental parameters that describe the underlying biochemistry in bisulfite sequencing and model inference is done using either variational inference for efficient genome-scale analysis or Hamiltonian Monte Carlo (HMC). Conclusions Analyses of real and simulated bisulfite sequencing data demonstrate the competitive performance of LuxHMM compared with other published differential methylation analysis methods."

"en": "The 2Layer.csv file contains ionizing dose results of simulating the shielding performance of all 2500 two-layer permutations of the first 50 chemical elements against trapped particles in Geostationary Transfer Orbit (GTO). The material properties are sourced from the Geant4 material database, with materials referenced by their Geant4 material database names. For elements that are gases under normal conditions, the liquified version from the Geant4 database is used if available, denoted by an \"l\" prefix (e.g., \"G4_lH2\"). The particle spectra used for this simulation are provided in the files AE9500keV.mac and AP910MeV.mac. The simulated geometry is provided in the file 2Layer.gdml. The particle spectra were generated with the AE9/AP9 models on SPENVIS, with electron energies starting at 500 keV and proton energies starting at 10 MeV. The simulation was performed with GRAS / Geant4 with the FTFP_BERT physics model using 2.1e+11 electrons and 8.4e+09 protons directed against slabs of shielding materials of 1.5 g/cm2 total depth with each of the two layers being 0.75 g/cm2 in depth. The ionizing dose is recorded in 0.5mm thick silicon plates behind the shielding plates. Column A: ID of the material combination Column B: Z-Number of Material 1 Column C: Z-Number of Material 2 Column D: Name of the first layer material. Column E: Name of the second layer material. Column F: Ionizing dose due to electrons in units of kRad per month. Column G: Statistical error in the electron dose in kRad per month. Column H: Ionizing dose due to protons in kRad per month. Column I: Statistical error in the proton dose in kRad per month. Column J: Total ionizing dose from electrons and protons in kRad per month. Column K: Statistical error in the total ionizing dose in kRad per month. Column L: Rank of the material combination sorted from lowest electron dose to highest. Column M: Rank of the material combination sorted from lowest proton dose to highest. Column N: Rank of the material combination sorted from lowest total ionizing dose to highest. All dose values are rounded according to their statistical uncertainty as reported by GRAS/Geant4."

Acoustic Analysis and Dataset of Transitions between Coupled Rooms. IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing. This dataset contains measured spatial room impulse responses for the transition between coupled rooms. Four coupled room pairs are included: Meeting Room to Hallway Office to Anechoic Chamber Office to Kitchen Office to Stairwell All were recorded at the Aalto University campus using a Genelec 8331A coaxial loudspeaker and an mh acoustics Eigenmike (32 capsule spherical microphone array for fourth order spherical harmonic capture). Each transition features 101 measurements in 5cm intervals from 2.5m inside the first room to 2.5m inside the second room. Transitions are repeated four times corresponding to four different source positions: two inside each room, one which has no continuous line-of-sight with the microphone when in the opposing room, and one which retains a direct continuous line-of-sight with the microphone for all measurement positions. The spatial room impulse responses are downloadable in either Spatially Oriented Format for Acoustics (SOFA) and Wav formats. Supplementary data includes amplitude plots, direct-to-reverberant graphs, estimated direction-of-arrival plots and scaled illustrations of room geometries and source positions. Changelog: V 1.0 - Initial version V 1.1 - Added plots only download option V 1.2 - Improved time alignment of impulse responses and changed normalisation to a single value relative to the maximum of the entire dataset V 1.3 - SOFA files updated to latest Matlab API (1.1.3), 'SingleRoomDRIR' convention, with SourcePosition data corrected. The SOFA files for each transition are also now downloadable separately, in case the entire dataset is not required. V 1.4 - SRIRs have been denoised using the technique described in https://www.aes.org/e-lib/browse.cfm?elib=21800 and available at https://github.com/chris-hld/Directional-Multi-Slope-Room-Impulse-Response-Denoising. This is particularly noticeable for measurements with a low SNR, such as where there is a large distance between source and receiver and occluded direct path. Note that the wav files have not been included in this release - see previous releases if wav files (not denoised) are required. SOFA files are renamed and available to download separately."

Introduction The file “gen_dd_channel.zip” is a package of a wideband multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) stored radio channel model at 140 GHz in indoor hall, outdoor suburban, residential and urban scenarios. The package consists of 1) measured wideband double-directional multipath data sets estimated from radio channel sounding and processed through measurement-based ray-launching and 2) MATLAB code sets that allows users to generate wideband MIMO radio channels with various antenna array types, e.g., uniform planar and circular arrays at link ends. 2. What does this package do? Outputs of the channel model The MATLAB file “ChannelGeneratorDD_hexax.m” gives the following variables, among others. The .m file also gives optional figures illustrating antennas and radio channel responses. Variables Descriptions CIR MIMO channel impulse responses CFR MIMO channel frequency responses Inputs to the channel model In order for the MATLAB file “ChannelGeneratorDD_hexax.m” to run properly, the following inputs are required. "en": "DReaM-ALD is a MATLAB implementation of a diffusion–reaction model for simulating the conformality of atomic layer deposition in high-aspect-ratio microchannels. This project implements a diffusion–reaction model developed by Ylilammi et al. (J. Appl. Phys. 123, 205301 (2018), DOI: 10.1063/1.5028178) in MATLAB. The model was developed to simulate the conformality of atomic layer deposited films in high-aspect-ratio microchannels. The output of the model, thickness profiles, show how the film thickness evolves with penetration into the microchannel. This diffusion–reaction model uses an analytical approximation of the reactant partial pressure in combination with the Langmuir model of adsorption. The scripts were written by Emma Verkama during her summer student employment in 2019 by request of Prof. Riikka Puurunen. Jihong Yim unified the variable names used in the scripts with the symbols adopted in Yim et al. (Phys. Chem. Chem. Phys. 24, 8645-8660 (2022), DOI: 10.1039/D1CP04758B). The publication of the scripts was handled by Jänis Järvilehto. This is the first public release of the DReaM-ALD code, v1.0.0."

This dataset has been published as Figure 4 in the publication \"Conformality of atomic layer deposition in microchannels: impact of process parameters on the simulated thickness profile\" (Yim and Verkama et al., Phys. Chem. Chem. Phys. 24 (2022) 8645-8660. https://doi.org/10.1039/D1CP04758B) A diffusion-reaction model by Ylilammi et al. (Ylilammi et al., J. Appl. Phys. 123 (2018) 205301. https://doi.org/10.1063/1.5028178) was re-implemented for the simulation. For this simulation, a channel height of 500 nm, which is a typical height for microscopic PillarHallTM LHAR test chips (Yim and Ylivaara et al., Phys. Chem. Chem. Phys., 22 (2020) 23107-23120. https://doi.org/10.1039/D0CP03358H) was used. The Excel file consists of 11 tabs in total: metadata, baseline thickness profile, and Fig4a to Fig4i. The baseline thickness profile and data of fig4a Fig4i are also available as a CSV file. The metadata page describes the data with its baseline conditions. The baseline conditions used in the simulation are: sticking coefficient = 0.01, temperature = 250 °C, initial partial pressure of Reactant A = 100 Pa, molar mass of Reactant A = 0.100 kg mol-1, hard-sphere diameter of Reactant A = 6 × 10-10 m, partial pressure of inert gas I = 500 Pa, molar mass of inert gas I = 0.028 kg mol-1, hard-sphere diameter of inert gas I = 3.74 × 10-10 m, mass density of deposited film = 3500 kg m-3, areal number density of metal M atoms in MyZx material = 4 nm-2, number of metal atoms in a Reactant A molecule = 1, number of metal atoms in a formula unit of growing film = 1, number of cycle = 250, desorption probability = 0.01 s-1, channel height = 500 nm, and channel width = 10 mm. The baseline thickness profile tab contains a thickness profile obtained in the baseline conditions as film thickness versus distance within a microchannel. The thickness profile stored from Fig4a to Fig4i tabs was obtained by varying individual parameters with other parameter values in baseline conditions: initial partial pressure of Reactant A (Fig4a), pulse time (Fig4b), molar mass of Reactant A (Fig4c), mass density of deposited film (Fig4d), adsorption density (Fig4e), desorption probability (Fig4f), sticking coefficient (Fig4g), temperature (Fig4h) and partial pressure of inert gas (Fig4i)."
