"en": "The ODA project in Finland focused on building digital social and health services to support self-care. This survey studied the expectations and experiences of social and health care professionals regarding the digitalised services provided by the project. Most respondents were health professionals working in the municipalities, social and health care areas, and hospital districts participating in the project. Similar data collected from managers/directors are available in FSD3320. The ODA digital services make use of information entered into the system by professionals and of information entered by patients/clients themselves on their personal well-being. For people who are willing to use digitalised services for their own self-care, the services provide well-being check-ups and training, assessment of symptoms and well-being, and care plans for those in need of long-term care or services. ODA is part of the Competent Workforce for the Future (COPE) project, funded by the Academy of Finland. Survey questions investigated whether the respondents felt they had received sufficient information of the future ODA services, their views on the services, expectations of changes service implementation would bring, and how the digital services would affect their work, professional role and patients/clients. Benefits and challenges were estimated, as well as expectations on how the implementation would go in practise. The respondents were also asked whether they had participated in the planning and developing of the services. Background variables included the respondent's age group, gender, occupation, as well as the type of organisation and municipality or district where they worked."

"en": "The study charted Finnish diabetes, heart and cancer patients' experiences of using eHealth services in 2017. Main themes included usefulness of the online services as well as frequency and purpose of use. Each group of patients was provided with a unique questionnaire, although most questions were repeated in all questionnaires. Responses to the common questions were combined in the data, and group-specific questions were marked with letters. The data were collected as part of the Competent workforce for the future (COPE) project funded by Academy of Finland. The purpose of the research was to establish how citizens and health care professionals can be supported in using eHealth services. First, the respondents were asked to assess the usefulness of different eHealth services such as Omakanta.fi (personal health records and prescriptions), digital private health care services and public eHealth services. Usefulness of different online services that provide health-related information, such as Duodecim Käypähoito.fi (Current Care Guidelines, clinical practice guidelines) and Terveyskirjasto.fi (information on health, medication and care guidelines), was also examined. The respondents were asked about their purposes for using eHealth services, for example, assessment of treatment need, contacting health care professionals, and connecting with peers for support. Questions on the support and guidance provided by the public sector in the use of eHealth services were also presented. Finally, the respondents were asked multiple open-ended questions that related to their positive and negative experiences of using eHealth services as well as the kinds of digital health services they would want to use in the future. Background variables included the respondent's gender, age, and municipality of residence (classified), as well as whether they or their child had diabetes (diabetes patients only) or other information on their health (heart and cancer patients)."

Valmentajille suunnattujen haastattelukysymysten avulla tiedusteltiin valmennuspalveluiden kehittämisen prosessista sekä työllistämishankkeeseen liittyen kokemuksia asiakastyöstä ja erilaisista yhteistyökuvioista. Tavoitteena oli ymmärtää hankkeen toimintaa ja työpajan asiakaspolkuun liittyvän kehitystyön prosessia, sen herättämiä ajatuksia, toiveita ja tavoitteita. Valmentautujien haastatteluissa puolestaan kysyttiin muun muassa kokemuksia työpajalla työskentelystä, työpajatoiminnasta yleisesti, valmennuksesta sekä tulevaisuudensuunnitelmista. Valmentajan ja valmennettavien välisten yksilövalmennuskeskusteluiden havainnoinnin tarkoituksena oli seurata asiakaspolkua ja valmennusprosessia sen eri vaiheissa. Aineistossa esiintyviä aiheita ovat muun muassa pitkäaikaistyöttömyys, työllistymisen edistäminen, kuntoutus, Green Care, toimijuuden tukeminen ja sosiaalinen vuorovaikutus. Taustatietoina ovat päivämäärä, aineistotyyppi, osallistujat sekä tieto siitä, miksi henkilö on työpajassa. Aineistosta on tehty html-versio, jonka hakemiston avulla haastatteluja on helppo selata."

"en": "The survey examined the use of computers in everyday life as well as people's memories of computer use. Altogether 1,453 persons (1,119 men, 329 women, and 5 undefined) answered the internet-based survey. The survey contained 45 questions, 29 of which were open-ended. Concerning their first computer, the respondents were asked who in their household had purchased the computer, and who had used it the most. Current computer use was charted by asking the respondents about the types of computers they had at their disposal, where they used computer the most, and what they used their computer for. The respondents were also asked if they had a smartphone, and what brand it was. The background variables inclued the respondent's gender, age, occupation, education level, and region of residence."

"en": "The survey charting neighbour relations and disputes was funded by the Academy of Finland ('The Future of Living and Housing' programme, 'Neighbour Disputes and Housing in Finland' project). Concerning interaction with neighbours, the respondents were asked how often they visited, spent time with, helped and had conversations with their neighbours as well as how many neighbours they greeted and talked to when encountering them. Social networks were surveyed with questions about how many friends the respondents had in different groups (relatives, study/work community, neighbourhood, hobbies, other group) as well as the number of people in these groups they had difficulty getting along with. The respondents' perceptions of their neighbours, their neighbourhood, and themselves as neighbours were charted by asking to what extent they agreed with a number of statements (e.g. \"My neighbours can generally be trusted\", \"There is a number of different social problems in my neighbourhood\", \"If my neighbour causes disturbances, I will speak to them directly about it\"). Some statements were presented to probe opinions on what good neighbour relations should be like (\"Nowadays people care less about their neighbours than they used to\"). Regarding disturbances and nuisance caused by neighbours, the respondents were asked what kind of problems they had experienced (e.g. noise from renovation, loud parties, cigarette smoke, gossiping, boundary disputes), how easily they intervened with problems in the neighbourhood, and what their reaction would be if they were told that they cause disturbances to the neighbours. Neighbour disputes and their resolution was charted with questions about the frequency of disputes between the neighbours, own involvement in the disputes, ways used to attempt to resolve the dispute, whether the respondents had ever moved house because of difficult neighbours, and whether the respondents had ever contacted or planned to contact the authorities because of a neighbour dispute. Those respondents who had planned to contact or had contacted the authorities were asked at which point in a neighbour dispute they would contact them. Background variables included the respondent's age, gender, household composition, economic activity, education, monthly gross income, self-perceived health status and quality of life as well as housing tenure, type of accommodation, years lived in the accommodation, type of neighbourhood, and municipality type."

"en": "Aineistossa selvitetään 16-30 -vuotiaiden media-arkea nykypäivänä sekä heidän toiveitaan koskien tulevaisuuden mediaa. Kysely on osa Media-alan tutkimussäätiön rahoittamaa Tulevaisuuden media-arki nuorten kuvittelemana -hanketta, jonka toteuttivat yhteistyössä Tampereen yliopiston Comet-tutkimuskeskus sekä Aalto-yliopiston informaatioverkoston koulutusohjelma. Aluksi vastaajille esitettiin kysymyksiä koskien heidän käyttämiään mediateknisiä laitteita ja sosiaalisen median sovelluksia. Heiltä esimerkiksi tiedusteltiin, minkälaisia laitteita ja sovelluksia he säännöllisesti käyttävät sekä mihin tarkoitukseen. Seuraavaksi esitettiin kysymyksiä koskien vastaajien kokemuksia oman mediankäytön muuttamisesta sekä sen mahdollisesta rajoittamisesta. Edelleen vastaajia pyydettiin kuvailemaan, millä tapaa he ovat omaan mediankäyttöönsä tyytyväisiä tai tyytymättömiä. Kyselyn lopuksi pyrittiin vielä kartoittamaan vastaajien toiveita liittyen tulevaisuuden mediaan. Taustamuuttujina aineistossa ovat syntymävuosi, sukupuoli, maakunta, perhemuoto, koulutus ja pääasiallinen toiminta."

"en": "Scene-based spatial audio formats, such as Ambisonics, are playback system agnostic and may therefore be favoured for delivering immersive audio experiences to a wide-range of (potentially unknown) devices. The number of channels required to deliver high spatial resolution Ambisonic audio, however, can be prohibitive for low-bandwidth applications. Therefore, in this paper, a compression codec is proposed, which is based upon the higher-order Directional Audio Coding (HO-DirAC) model. The encoder downmixes the higher-order Ambisonics (HOA) input audio into a reduced number of signals, which are accompanied by spatial parameterization metadata. The downmixed audio is coded using a perceptual audio coder, whereas the metadata is grouped into perceptual bands, quantised, and downsampled. On the decoder side, low Ambisonic orders are fully recovered. Whereas, not fully recoverable high Ambisonic orders are synthesized based on the spatial metadata. The results of a listening test indicate that the proposed parametric spatial audio codec can improve the adopted perceptual coder, especially at low to medium-high bitrates, when applied to fifth-order HOA signals."

"en": "These data refer to the second test campaign of the SHIVER project, conducted in the Ice and Wave tank of Aalto University in spring 2023.Basin tests were performed to gather data on ice action, ice-structure interaction and ice scaling to predict ice-induced vibration of offshore structures (e.g., offshore wind turbines, lighthouses, channel markers).Tests were conducted with a real-time hybrid test setup, which had been used during the first test campaign of the SHIVER project (go to publication, go to data). Small modification of the setup allowed to test substructures with different diameters and shape at the water line and improved data reliability.Detailed explanations of the test setup, test matrix, and test results are provided in a manuscript submitted to the journal Cold Regions Science and Technology. "en": "This dataset has been curated for the purpose of training and evaluating a variety of local feature extractors intended for optical navigation in the proximity of Solar System small bodies (SSSBs). It aims to serve as a resource for researchers in the field and it is referenced in the related article titled \"CNN-based local features for navigation near an asteroid\" [1]. Additionally, the associated Python code for this dataset can be found in [2]. The dataset is a compilation of images obtained from four distinct space missions focused on SSSBs, specifically NEAR Shoemaker (Eros) [3], Hayabusa (Itokawa) [4], Rosetta (67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko) [5, 6], and OSIRIS-REx (Bennu) [7]. It also incorporates synthetic data generated through the utilization of a Bennu shape model [8] and OpenGL-based rendering software [9, 10]. Access to mission-specific images is available through the NASA Planetary Data System (PDS), and for the Rosetta mission, via the ESA Planetary Science Archive [11]. The prefix rot- has been applied to subsets in which images have been pre-rotated to orient the SSSB's rotation axis upwards within the image frame. These subsets are primarily intended for training purposes and encompass image pairs with pixel correspondences that can be found in the aflow directory. Pixel correspondences are stored as 16-bit PNG images, where the G- and B-channels respectively represent the x and y image coordinates. To facilitate data compression and storage, a fixed scaling coefficient of 8 has been employed to convert the pixel correspondence float array into a 16-bit integer array to be used by the PNG compression. These pixel correspondence files can be loaded using the navex.datasets.tools.load_aflow function from [2]. On the other hand, subsets designated with a -d postfix include depth information (*.d files) and are exclusively employed during the evaluation of the proposed feature extractors. The depth data is stored as scaled grayscale 16-bit integer arrays using PNG compression. A custom additional header accompanies these images, providing two 32-bit float values, namely the subtracted offset v0 and the scale multiplier s utilized in the calculation of image pixel values as v' = (v - v0)·s. To access the depth data as a 32-bit float array, researchers can utilize the navex.datasets.tools.load_mono function from [2]. Please note that the file paths in e.g. rot-cg67p-osinac.tar and cg67p-osinac-d.tar archives are the same, so you need to either rename the extracted folder, extract them to different folders, or only extract the archive that you need. For clarity, it should be noted that subsets lacking the aforementioned pre- or postfixes do not contain paired images and consequently lack pixel correspondences. These subsets were exclusively used for feature extractor training in [1]. The dataset also includes *.ckpt files, which are the trained feature extractor models referred to in [1]. More details about how to use them can be found in [2]."

The agricultural inputs used are (unit in parentheses): nitrogen (kg/ha) phosphorus (kg/ha) potassium (kg/ha) machinery (1000 metric horsepower cv) herbicides (original kg/ha, for analysis rescaled by dividing with 97.5th percentile) fungicides (original kg/ha, for analysis rescaled by dividing with 97.5th percentile) insecticides (original kg/ha, for analysis rescaled by dividing with 97.5th percentile) other pesticides (original kg/ha, for analysis rescaled by dividing with 97.5th percentile) soil organic carbon (t/ha) soil phosphorus (mg/kg( soil nitrogen (t/ha) non-mineral nitrogen (kg/ha) non-mineral phosphorus (kg/ha) irrigation (% of area under irrigation) agricultural workers (persons) This repository also includes the analysis results of yields after agricultural input shocks. This data is in rasters named e.g. wheat_phosphorus_shock_75.tif, meaning that this file contains the yield data (t/ha) for wheat after a 75% shock in phosphorus input. Rasters are provided for the following: yields after 25%, 50% or 75% nitrogen shock yields after 25%, 50% or 75% phosphorus shock yields after 25%, 50% or 75% potassium shock yields after 25%, 50% or 75% machinery shock yields after 25%, 50% or 75% pesticide shock yields after 25%, 50% or 75% shock in all fertilizers (fertilizer shock) yields after 25%, 50% or 75% shock in all inputs In addition, the observed crop yield (t/ha) used to construct the model is provided. Other yield rasters are: modelled baseline yield (t/ha), used to calculate the yield changes in shock scenarios modelled zero input yield (t/ha), calculated as a scenario with zero fertilizers, machinery and pesticide inputs Please see the article for references on the datasets."

Small samples of Scots pine sapwood were modified using different concentrations of phenol formaldehyde (2.5, 5, 10, 20 and 30% resin solids content) and sorbitol-citric acid (5, 10, 20, 30 and 40% resin solids content) and then exposed to brown rot decay by Coniophora puteana and Rhodonia placenta. Sample masses and dimensions were measured at different points to determine their weight gain, anti-swelling efficiency and moisture exclusion efficiency due to modification, their mass loss due to decay and their moisture content at the end of the decay test. Fluorescence images were collected from decayed and control samples after the decay test. Further details on the experimental procedures can be found in the publication. The \"Sample IDs and measurement data.csv\" -file contains the sample IDs and all measured dimensions and mass data for every sample. Areas Adry0, Adry1, Awet, and Adry2 are the cross-sectional areas of the samples in the dry state before modification, in the dry state after modification and before leaching, in the wet state during leaching, and in the dry state after leaching, respectively. Masses mdry0, mdry1, mdry2, mRH85, mwet, and mdry3 are the masses of the samples in the dry state before modification, in the dry state after modification and before leaching, in the dry state after leaching, in the conditioned state at RH 85%, in the wet state at the end of the decay test, and in the dry state after the decay test, respectively. The \"Fluorescence images\" -folder contains fluorescence images collected from the samples. The image files are named according to the ID of the imaged sample, followed by additional tags. The samples modified using phenol formaldehyde were imaged using both green and UV excitation, and the file names contain the tag \"green\" or \"UV\" to denote the used excitation wavelengths. For all samples, the sample ID (and the excitation tag) are followed by a number to differentiate replicate images collected from the sample."
