"en": "The mutable-team subcorpus is part of the MUTABLE corpus, which entails video recordings of the work processes related to audio description as well as of the interaction between sighted and blind participants. The mutable-team subcorpus consists of appr. 25 h of video of authentic teamwork and the respective orthographic transcriptions of the conversations. The work setting is the translation process in which a team of blind and sighted participants draft and rehearse an audio description script. The recorded teams consist of either two (one blind + one sighted) or three (1 blind + 2 sighted) participants. The source material that is being audio described are feature films (drama, action) or television programs (life style or “Christmas calendar”). The languages spoken are either Finnish or German (the Austrian or the Standard variant). The videos have been recorded in Austria, Finland and Germany in 2016-2017.\n\nThe corpus was collected in the research project MUTABLE – Multimodal Translation with the Blind, funded by Academy of Finland. Mutable-team sisältää n. 25 tuntia aitojen ryhmätyöskentelytilanteiden videoita sekä niihin kohdistettuja ortografisia keskustelulitteraatteja. Työskentelytilanne on kuvailutulkkauksen käännösprosessi, jossa sokeista ja näkevistä koostuva tiimi kirjoittaa ja testaa kuvailutulkkauskäsikirjoitusta. Videoiduissa tiimeissä toimii joko kaksi (1 näkevä + 1 sokea) tai kolme henkilöä (2 näkevää + 1 sokea), ja kuvailtavana oleva materiaali on joko elokuva (draama tai toiminta) tai televisio-ohjelma (lifestyle tai joulukalenteriohjelma). Videoilla puhutaan joko suomea tai saksaa (saksansaksa tai itävallansaksa), ja ne on kuvattu Itävallassa, Saksassa, Suomessa vuosina 2016 ja 2017.\n\nKorpus on kerätty Suomen Akatemian rahoittamassa hankkeessa ”Näetkö saman minkä minä kuulen? "en": "This resource is available for download in Kielipankki - The Language Bank of Finland, see Access location.\n\nThe Donate Speech Corpus (Puhelahjat) is a collection of speech recordings that accumulated during the Donate Speech campaign between 16.6.2020 and 14.9.2021. The resource is available via the download service of the Language Bank of Finland under restricted terms and conditions. The resource contains a total of about 3200 hours of speech recordings, out of which about 1600 hours have been transcribed. The resource also includes information about the elicitation tasks for which each of the speech samples was donated in the original campaign, and the background details that were voluntarily provided by speech donors. \n\nAccess to the resource may be granted for purposes related to language research or to the research and development of artificial intelligence.\n\nFor academic research use, the license terms and conditions (including the data protection terms and conditions) can be found at http://urn.fi/urn:nbn:fi:lb-2022020223. Under this license, researchers may apply for access via the Language Bank Rights system.\n\nThe license terms and conditions concerning the use by private companies will be defined in a separate license agreement.",

In case you cannot log in, even though you are affiliated to a university, see instructions at https://www.kielipankki.fi/lic/aca-status/\n\nA copy of the uncompressed corpus is also available at puhti.csc.fi, instructions on how to gain access rights: https://www.kielipankki.fi/support/access/\n\nThe amph micro-corpus consists of altogether 3404 occurrences of the four most common Finnish THINK lexemes, ajatella, miettiä, pohtia, and harkita 'think, reflect, ponder, consider'.\n\nThese occurrences have been extracted from a corpus consisting of two months worth (January–February 1995) of written text from Helsingin Sanomat (1995), Finland’s major daily newspaper, and six months worth (October 2002 – April 2003) of written discussion in the SFNET (2002-2003) Internet discussion forum, namely regarding (personal) relationships (sfnet.keskustelu.ihmissuhteet) and politics (sfnet.keskustelu.politiikka). The newspaper corpus consisted altogether of 3,304,512 words of body text, excluding headers and captions (as well as punctuation tokens), and included 1,750 representatives of the studied THINK verbs, whereas the Internet corpus comprised altogether 1,174,693 words of body text, excluding quotes of previous postings as well as punctuation tokens, adding up to 1,654 representatives of the studied THINK verbs. The individual overall frequencies among the studied THINK lexemes in the corpus were 1492 for ajatella, 812 for miettiä, 713 for pohtia, and 387 for harkita.\n\nThe corpus contents were first automatically syntactically and morphologically analyzed using a computational implementation of Functional Dependency Grammar (Tapanainen and Järvinen, 1997, Järvinen and Tapanainen 1997) for Finnish, namely the FI-FDG parser (Connexor 2007). After this, all the instances of the studied THINK lexemes together with their syntactic arguments were manually validated and corrected, if necessary, and subsequently supplemented with semantic classifications. In addition, some extra-linguistic features (newspaper section or specific newsgroup, author ID when available, unique document index) are incorporated, when they could be identified and extracted from the original corpora.\n\nThe amph micro-corpus contains for each occurrence of the selected four THINK verbs in the original research corpora all relevant contextual features, including the verb itself, analyzed at the aforementioned morphological, syntactic and semantic levels in the immediate sentential context, as well as all pertinent extralinguistic features.
