"en": "This is the documentation of the tomographic X-ray data of a dynamic cross phantom made available at http://www.fips.fi/dataset.php. The data can be freely used for scientific purposes with appropriate references to the data and to this document in http://arxiv.org/. The data set consists of (1) the X-ray sinogram with 16 or 30 time frames (depending on resolution) of 2D slices of the cross phantom, made by crossing aluminum and graphite sticks in melted candle wax and (2) the corresponding static and dynamic measurement matrices modeling the linear operation of the X-ray transform. Each of these sinograms was obtained from a measured 360-projection fan-beam sinogram by down-sampling and taking logarithms. The original (measured) sinogram is also provided in its original form and resolution.\r\n\r\nThis new version contains added file DataStatic_560x60.mat with 80 time frames and DataStatic_1120x60.mat with 230 time frames. You can run these files with the code example 2, which computes a Tikhonov regularized reconstruction using conjugate gradient algorithm."

"en": "These videos show the simulated deposition, one atom at a time, of amorphous carbon (a-C) films. The system is equilibrated to 300 K after each impact and before the next deposition event. Different deposition energies are simulated, from 1 eV to 100 eV. The atoms are deposited onto a preexisting diamond substrate, shown in the 60 eV video; after 2500 depositions at 60 eV, the generated a-C film is used as template to deposit all the other films. The interatomic interactions are modeled with the a-C GAP of Deringer and Csányi [Phys. Rev. B 95, 094203 (2017)] interfaced through LAMMPS [http://lammps.sandia.gov] The visualization is carried out with VMD [http://www.ks.uiuc.edu/Research/vmd] using Axel Kohlmeyer's TopoTools [DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.545655]. "en": "The data is obtained from model-scale experiments on shallow water ice-structure interaction. During the conducted experiments, a ten-meter wide initially intact ice sheet was pushed against a sloping structure of the same width. As the ice failed against the structure, a grounded rubble pile accumulated in front of it. The structure consisted of ten identical one-meter-wide segments and the horizontal load on each of these segments was measured independently with load cells. These measurements are presented as load-time datasets. The horizontal load acting on the false bottom was measured with load cells and are also presented as load-time datasets. Furthermore, the ice pressure on two of the segments was measured with tactile sensors. These pressure measurements are presented as array-based pressure-time datasets. Video footage filmed from two different video angles is included in the data. In addition, the coordinates of the rubble pile geometries at the end of each experiment are published. The data includes the top and side rubble pile geometries. In total, seven experiments were conducted. The data can be used by researchers, engineers and designers who work with ice structure interaction related issues in order to, for instance, optimize the design of offshore structures, improve ice load predictions or develop future experiments and simulations. A full description of the experimental set-up and the published data is submitted to the journal Data in Brief."

Selected works are presented as part of the paper.\r\n\r\nAbstract:\r\n\r\nLaser powder bed fusion (LPBF) has become an established method for manufacturing end-use metal components. Exploiting the geometric freedom of additive manufacturing (AM) offers broad possibilities for part optimization and enables performance enhancements across industry sectors. However, part shape and feature size have been found to locally affect residual stresses, melt pool cooling rates, microstructure, and thus the mechanical properties of components. Even though the mesoscale structure can locally induce microstructural changes, there are no prior studies on how it influences corrosion. Using AM-produced, optimized parts in critical applications necessitates a better understanding of their long-term performance. In this study, lattice structures were used to probe the influence of feature size and shape on corrosion susceptibility and its spatial localization.\r\n\r\nThe susceptibility of submillimeter LPBF-fabricated 316L stainless steel lattice structures to corrosion was investigated by conducting a 21-day immersion corrosion test in an aqueous 3.5wt% NaCl solution. Schoen gyroid and Schwarz diamond triply periodic minimal surface lattices were manufactured with three unit cell sizes and wall thicknesses (0.867, 0.515, and 0.323 mm). The nominal surface and cross-sectional areas were the same for the two geometries. X-ray microcomputed tomography (microCT) scans before and after the corrosion test were compared for volumetric losses. In addition, the mechanical properties and microstructure of the samples were evaluated.\r\n\r\nAs part of the study, a workflow to register, index, and analyze volumetric changes of consecutive microCT image stacks was developed. The method is fully reported and applicable to time-lapse studies with microCT. Three out of five of the 0.323 mm wall thickness lattices displayed visually aggressive pitting. Based on the microcomputed tomography data, the mass losses were localized either in the entrapped powder particles or partially melted surface globules. Corrosion did not occur in the dense base material. The total mass losses ranged from 8 to 19 mg. Despite visual indications to support a higher corrosion susceptibility for the smallest lattice sizes, the mass loss values did not confirm this conclusion. The tensile test results did not provide any clear indications of latent corrosion effects on mechanical properties.\r\n\r\nVersion 1.1: 'Microstructure.zip' was revised. Metallographic preparation and Beraha II etching was redone for selected samples. New images and grain size (and grain distribution) measurements were added.\r\n\r\nVersion 1.2: 'CT_Data_Heatmap_example.zip' was added."

"en": "The dataset includes results from tests of U-folded falling chain in two groups: (i) videos and (ii) tip's coordinates timeseries. In test T2 the opening of the two tips of the chain at the initial state is 0.045m, in T4 is 0.087m and in T5 is 0.128m. The length of the chain is 1.512m, while its total mass is 31g. The txt files contain three columns: time (sec), coordinate x (pixels) and coordinate y (pixels). The scale factor between distance in millimeters and pixel is 1. 576482830 mm/pixel."
